Bolt

Forever Home or Sponsor Wanted!

Bolt Foaled 2010, 14.2 hands, 800lbs?, Gray, Arabian/Quarter, Gelding

Bolt is looking for his forever home. We got an emergency call on 3/7/18. He came to PPER 3/20/18. This guy's owner died and so he was abandoned along with his buddy Wally in someone else's pasture. He likes people and comes up for scratches and attention but is not trained. He walks well on the lead line and is respectful. When the pasture's owners finally managed to locate the man's family, the family refused to claim Bolt or Wally. The people whose pasture they were left in could not keep them! Thank God they had been feeding them, even though they were not theirs to care for! It is hard to believe, but people do just abandon animals in other people’s pastures! The pasture owners contacted PPER. Bolt and Wally came to PPER 3/20/18. Bolt got his vet check, shots, and Coggin's. He had not seen a vet or farrier in years! He needs lots of love and training! He is a bit timid, a nice mover, and good under halter. He loaded on the trailer with no real issue, and he likes attention. This guy has lots of potential and just need to know that humans can be good for him! Bolt is a very sweet boy, already coming up for rubs and attention. We are hoping that the hair will grow back over the halter scares. But the groove from the halter being on him his entire life will most likely always be there. Bolt needs a forever home! Please make arrangements to have your animals cared for in case the unthinkable happens and you are no longer alive to take care of them! Please consider helping to get this little guy safe and healthy! To see all of Bolt's photos, check out his album on Facebook.
