Foaled 2005 (per Coggins), Bay, Mustang, Mare 15 hands, 1021lbs (6/8/19)

We met Kai's owner when she was looking for a companion for Kai and came to PPER to see the available companion animals. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter her owner was diagnosed with a neurological disease that began robbing her of her ability to care for Kai. In February of 2019, because of her worsening health, Kai's owner decided to board Kai with us. Unfortunately, with her owner's health continuing to deteriorate, she decided the best thing for Kai would be for her to enter our program and eventually look for a forever home. Kai came to PPER on 6/6/19 Kai is a sweet girl, loaded up like a champ, rode in the trailer with no worries and is already making friends in the yard at PPER. She has all her shots, Coggin's, and vet check. She does need some serious farrier care for those hooves! We will be taking our time with Kai and evaluating what she knows and can do. She is a beautiful, healthy, mare and this owner did the right thing to get help while her horse was still in such good shape! Kai would love a dedicated volunteer for her training!
