Ruby is looking for a companion or light riding home! We know Ruby was sold at Auction in Knoxville Tennessee, another auction, and then she ended up at a feed lot. The feed lot held fundraisers and people came together to pay for her "bail". She was given a home offer and sent to quarantine. Ruby's new owner could not keep her and she was brought to PPER. She was ridden at the feed lot and is gaited. She is very frightened and jumpy right now, but appears pretty healthy. Her hooves look good other then a nasty old scar on her front right. She does have some arthritis and old damage on her front that cause her to be restricted for riding. She is a beautiful girl and hopefully once we get her on our high protein low carb feed she will calm down a bit. Ruby has calmed down a lot so far. Alex can now rub her pretty much any time. She is still head shy, requires a lot of patience and a calm hand. Ruby is looking for a forever home as a companion of light riding horse or a sponsor for her care and a dedicated volunteer for her training.
